I thought I heard about this somewhere but cannot find it again; Did Apple not have the 768GB SSD avaliable to ship right away for the Retina Pro's? I have not heard of one 768GM model being shipped yet.

I don't know anyone that's ordered one. Most everyone I know maxed at the 512gb SSD. Now that you mention it, i've not seen anyone reviewed yet either. Though i'd imagine most reviews have been on the stock configurations.
I also don't know anyone who ordered one with a 768GB SSD. I guess they're to expensive.

I ordered one a week after they came out and will not see it till mid or end of July.
Then again, I wasn't in such a rush to get it.

I'll post my experience once it comes in. Hope it's worth all the hype.
As someone who got an order in as soon as possible that day, they're only saying 3 to 5 weeks, but the dates are actually 4 to six weeks from the order. There does appear to be some serious constraint on these drives.
I ordered mine about a day or 2 after the announcement and have a july 11th - July 17th dilivery window. Most others I have seen that ordered it have about the same delivery window from mid to end of July.
And for those saying it is too expensive, it is a $400 upgrade, not $4000. When already spending $2700+ on a laptop you guys are making it sound like this drive more than doubles the price of the system...
