cannot send mail: server does not allow relaying

Hi! I have an Ipad2 32GB running on IOS 5.1.1, i have multiple emails. yahoo/gmail/company email.

the problem is this.. yahoo/gmail works fine both incoming and outgoing, but when I'm trying to send outgoing email from my company email it says an error

Cannot Send Mail

A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient xxxx@yahoo.com was rejected by the server because it foes bot allow relaying.

I can receive emails but cant send out. tried switching IMAP and POP still no good.

I checked every possible typo error on setting but it's all good and correct. name/email/incoming mail server (host)/ outgoing mail server (SMPT)

I hope someone can help me out..

You can't send yahoo mail through your company's e-mail system. You must use your company e-mail address.

no, i mean i wanted to add an account to my ipad email list.. so far i have ymail and gmail doing good.

so i set up another one which is my company email.. i can recieve emails from it but can't send outgoing.

it says:

Cannot Send Mail

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Select an account then Outgoing server.

Make sure username and password is filled in.

I also noted when taking your suggestion that the server port was still set to 587 and I needed 465 frot Pop rather than IMAP which seems to be the default setting. I'm hoping that sorting this relatively minor inconvenience (for me) will result in the rest of my general email issues resolving themselves.

Hi. Have you made sure your username and password are entered in the SMTP settings for the account, as described above? They are not "optional", despite what the Mail app thinks.
