Can you download subscribed (paid) podcast on the new podcast app

What worked for me in the new Podcast App was going to the website of the podcast [pardcast.com] in Safari on my iPod touch, logging in, and manually subscribing (or 'viewing,' in my case, since ive already paid for them all) to each video season through the video RSS Feed. They show up in the Podcast App and you can stream them with WiFi, so i have 75gb of streamable paid video podcasts on my 8gb iPod Touch, assuming I have WiFi when wanting to watch any of these. I don't know how an iPhone works but maybe the same idea would be successful, but also be available all the time. Or just go to Starbucks and McDonalds more. The only problem for me is that I can't get the audio feeds to be available on WiFi.

I tried it and it worked on the second try. Hooray, I can listen to my Coast to Coast podcast again! They have an iPhone app that works on an iPod touch, but only in a wifi area. So often that isn't the case and I rely on my regular podcast most of the time. My endless thanks to iPodTouchBob!

For anyone else looking into this, I found a way to get a paid podcast syscing in the app. works really well with my coast to coast am subscription. In itunes, go file -> add new podcast. This pops up a window where you can type in the url. Paste the url into the window, replaceing the itpc:// with http://. In the url, add your login info like this:

http://username:password@rss.example.com/

if your user name is an email address, replace the @ with the url code like this:

http://myname%40gmail.com:password@rss.example.com/

This will add the podcast to itunes, with no need to ever sign into it again. plug in your iphone/ipod and sync 1 episode to your device so that it shows up in your podcast list on the device. It will now behave exactly the same as any other free podcast within the app.

In a pinch, you can do the same thing in the mobile podcast app if you enter the url, including name and password prefix as above, in the "Search My Podcasts" field.
