Computer is running slow... especially iPhoto.

My computer is running incredibly slow lately. I seem to see the spinning wheel when I do anything. I am having the most problems when I am using iPhoto. This is what I have done so far.

1. I went into disk utility and verified/repaired all of my permissions.

2. I downloaded the free Norton Antivirus from the app store and it found nothing.

3. I cleared all my internet caches/history etc.

4. I uninstalled the last program I installed (adobe elements 10).

5. I updated both my iPhoto and my OSX software

My specs:

Macbook Pro from 2011

2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

4BG 1333 MHz DDR3

Mac OSX version 10.7.4

257 free of 750 GB

What should I do next? I have a genius appt tomorrow, but i'm willing to try anything first.
