alright. I don't have problem with iMessage before but recently not working at all.

After trying for 2 d*mn days, this is how I got it works.

1. go to Setting > WiFI > change DNS to 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

2. on off iMessage @ Setting

3. login (if you have not) and on off FaceTime @ Setting

4. Restart iPhone

**I repeated this process several times!!!

If problem still persist, make sure the other person you are trying to send iMessage to have done the above steps.

I've managed to iMessage to my friends but not my husband, and after my husband try to do all those steps above, we manage to iMessage each other now.

Not sure what exactly the problem is but I'm glad that it works once again.

On Aug 19 I was able to send/receive iMessages. On Aug 20th it just flat out stopped working. Couldn't send/receive any iMessages. 4~5 bars 3G coverage, in a WiFi area, on iOS 5.1 on iPhone 4. I haven't made any software changes/updates, nothing new. Evidently this is a network setting-related issue.

First, make sure iMessages is enabled:

1) Settings -> Messages -> iMessages (on | off)

If it is already on, or if you try to turn it on and it just continually says "Waiting for activation...", then reset your network settings:

1) Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

This will force your phone to reboot, and you'll have to re-input WiFi passwords, but it did the trick for me.

Today I was messageing a friend using iMessage and suddenly my messages were not sending. I figured it was just my connection, but after using a few apps and I realized that my connection was working I decided to disable my iMessage and try to enable it again. Now its not allowing me to sign back in. :/ It keeps saying that the password is wrong, so I changed my password and even created a new account but it still will not allow me to sign back in/reactivate iMessage. Can someone help me please? Oh and I upgraded to iOS 6 yesterday, don't know if that may be the problem..... Using an iPod touch - 4th generation
