on the ipad 3 do u have to pay for the 3g from verizon or it`s free
im trying to get a ipad so shud i get the 4g from verizon or at&t and do u have to pay for the 4g or is it free so thats it

Whether you want Verizon or AT&T depends on where you live - they each are stronger in different parts of the country. You can also compare their data plans to see which makes more sense for you. And yes, you certainly have to pay to get a 4G service... but you can do so on a monthly basis, you are not locked into a plan like on a cell phone.
