I have an ipad2 and when syncing a fault occured. it asked me to then restore the ipad which i did, and at the end of the process it showed me error code 26. my ipad is still in recovery mode and i dont know what to do, help greatly appreciated.

It is possible that security software (anti-malware, firewall, ...) is interfering.

Resolving error 26 can - in some cases - be rather complex.
Did you read through this important troubleshooting guide in the link to error 26, which I posted above?
Thanks for the help, but considered virus software and this is not the problem.
