I can't use my maestro card in app store!

Maestro is Mastercard here in the UK. If you have Maestro you probably have Mastercard so you should re-register with iTunes using Mastercard.

What country do you live in? What is the store saying to you when you try to use your bank card?

I am sorry that you are getting some faulty information from others posting here. Which bank cards are acceptible for use with Apple in the various online stores differs from country to country. As you can see from this screenshot that I took just minutes ago, the UK iTunes Store does accept Maestro and there are likely others.

i do not have paypal option in my app store.i have maestro card ..can i pay with paypal?

Anyway, you can only pay using whatever options are offered to you. If PayPal is not there, the answer is no.

Not a question of security. Maestro is okay and I can use it here in England. If you're using the debit card version that may be different. I understand Apple are trying to distance themselves from debit cards.

yes but if in uk u can use maestro and in romania u can not,i can say that is a little discrimination from them.adn they lose money and not seem to care.

Don't think you should think of it as discrimination. It's about banking agreements in different countries and as much a matter of government restrictions as anything else. If you go to App store > store > View my account' > and edit payment info you will see the agreed methods of payment. Out of interest, I cannot pay by Paypal either.

Please provide a link to where Apple states they are distancing the company from debit cards.

Maestro is a debit card. Apple has not distanced itself from the Maestro card.
