Using 10.5.8, mail 3.6.
I have set up signatures in my preferences. I would like Mail to always place a signature, without my having to go to the pull down menu of signatures at the top of the composition area.
Is this possible?

From the Mail Preferences>Signatures page, choose the email account you'd like to set up an automatic signature for. Then in the area that says, "Choose Signature" you choose a specific signature that you have set up or "In Sequential Order". If your email signature is not showing up, it's like because it currently placed with "None" in this area. See attached.

Thanks. Mine always requires me to pick from the pull down menu of the signature box. My Mail app will not automatically insert an singature when I go to compose a new message.

In Mail Preferences>Signatures, highlight All Signatures, then highlight the Signature you want the account to use & drag it to the Account below All Signatures that you want to always use it on.
On the left, highlight the particular account you want it to be used with, then Choose Signature will be usable.
This is the screen I get when I am compose. I'd prefer to have the signature autmoatically placed with every new message, if possible.

This is what I keep getting. The Choose Signature pulldown says NONE, no matter what I do. What can I do to fix it?
New message windows always open with a signature for me.
Can mail always add a signature automatically?
