Wifi showing full bars but fails to open page, says not connected

My MacBook pro won't connect to our Internet using our wifi. I haven't had any problems before, I was just using my laptop the other night and I'm on my iPhone right now using our wifi and it's connected and working fine. The wifi is showing full bars and says its connected to our network which I've already set up with the name and password and remember password chain so when I turn on my laptop it always connects but not today it seems and I don't know what's wrong. The network diagnostics say Network Settings, ISP, Internet, and Server: all Failed. I've tried restarting it but that's about it. Any suggestions? Any additional info needed let me know and I will try to get it. (it's my parents Internet and they never seem to know the password or account stuff :/ )

This is not a problem with your computer, but eventually, you may have to retart the computer again. I'm guessing that you have some sort of modem or other device that feeds your router an internet signal. Sometimes a service provider will selectively reject a computer for various reasons "like too many computers on one system). The cure is to reset your internet device by powering off for at least 20 sec. and then back on. It may take an additional few minutes for the sytem to reboot and you should get signal. If this doesn't work, you may have to call your internet provided.

This happens at my house about once a week. I can have internet on my MBP while my wife sitting beside me has none. It always comes back when we reset the modem for the internet.

So I'm looking at my parents iMac that's the house computer that uses wifi, and the router box is ironically in my room, but theirs says:

Configure IPv4: Using DCHP

IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.69

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Router: 192.168.1.254

Like I said, on my laptop it doesn't have those numbers nor a way to enter them unless I switch the Configure IPv4 to manually.

Go to System Preferences>Network, what does it say for Status and Network Name?

There is nothing there, it's all blank and I don't even see a spot to enter any values. All it shows is Configure IPv4: Using DHCP and then the IPv4 Address, Subnet Mask, and Router are all blank with no spots to fill in, but if i switch the Configure IPv4: to Manually it gives me blank spaces to enter in stuff. I just tried unplugging an plugging back in our little box and nothing still. Thank you for your help!

Status: Connected

Network Name: Moleman (yea, we're weird)

But that's what I have it connected to on my laptop but nothing will load, when I first set up my wifi I did Moleman and entered our password and it connected, now it has the little checkmark next to Moleman in the networks but no signal.

How do I delete the wifi connection to recreate it?

Ok, I renewed the DHCP lease, then the AirPort said connected with a yellow dot next to it, and our network wasn't showing so I did the whole Join Other Network, typed in our name and did the WPA Personal security and typed our password and again it check marked it like it was correct only still no connection and it says AirPort Not Connected with a red dot next to it.

Finally! Omg thank you some much! I turned the power off on the modem and router thing again and I restarted my computer and it said no network was selected so I did the diagnostics, entered our network name and password then it asked if I use DCHP or PPo something and I clicked contine for the DCHP then it asked if I used a cable and I said no then suddenly all lights were green. Very weird. Is there a reason for why this happened? Just curious. Thank you again!
