I'm sure some bean counter has presented the idea of porting the iLife apps to Windows. QuickTime has a Windows version for over a decade and iTunes runs on PC's.
But these apps help sell Mac's and I think that is what you should look into.
The Mac mini is now a powerful machine and reasonably priced. New buyers get the iLife suite included and installed.
Your need to "convert" the video format and codecs used for your files to be iPod "acceptable".
Tons of free software that can do the conversion. Search using Google.
