Spanish Gift Card but U.S. account.

Mom has purchased a Spanish iTunes Gift Card from Spain not knowing I wouldn't be able to redeem it with a U.S. account. Is there any way I can redeem this gift card?Would be v. happy if anyone with a similar problem shared the experience...
