How can I backup my Quicken Essential files to the Cloud?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4)
why not back it up to an external usb hd .
Right click on it, select Show Package Contents, it should contain the same files as the Dropbox package folder, does it?
yes it shows the same files

Then the backup works. (and so does your screenshot)
I would restore it once to test it.
If you don't know how to restore a Quicken Backup it is not a backup, is it?
Read your Quicken manual to find out how, you need to read this as well (Mac101)
Your knowledge of how Macs work could use a little help also.
That's really not helpful, it's insulting. I do know how to restore a Q backup and maybe you should refer to Sensitivity 101. All I am asking is how to deal with that folder.
If you know how to restore a Q backup why are you asking me? The folder in Dropbox is the same as it is on your Mac.
Good bye.
PS: you now have the same thread going in at least 3 instances (all hijacks of other people posts), obviously I do not need to be amongst your team of helpers.
The folder in Dropbox is a Folder, not a File, and that File is not in that Folder. Do you know the difference between a Folder and a File?

Obviously you don't, They are both folders
Yes, but what does one do with this folder? Nothing in it opens the program.
Why doesn't it turn into a Packages folder when I save it to the computer I am working on ? I just have a regular, single item file to open there.
You have asked this question 3 times by butting into other peoples threads, personally I find you arrogant and pushy, and your knowledge of OSX is glaringly lacking (I posted links to Mac 101 earlier, use them)
Hopefully someone else will help you but It will not be me.
I'm not butting .So far nobody has been able to help, so I'm doing what anyone would do if they couldn't find an answer. I don't think anybody really minds except maybe you for some strange reason. Or maybe you are taking out your frustrations here because even you can't answer my question, which is what do I do with a folder that turns up in Dropbox, where before, when I was using Q2007 this never happened?

Really?
Try being truthful, none of these were started by you, you just saved a little effort by butting into them with your problem as if it was more important than the OP's.
Try putting a little effort into understanding your own Mac, (start by learning the difference between folders and files.
Whether I can help you or not is now irrelevant, I am choosing not to.
See - you don't know the answer, do you, to the question of what do I do with a Packages folder to open (restore in this case) a Q Essentials file? You have a Windows mentality.
