Pixelated text and graphics in MacBook Pro Retina
Why are text and graphics in pixelated in Numbers and iBooks applications, to name two, on the MacBook Pro Retina? All updates have been downloaded.

Thanks! The unchecking of the box open in low resolution was the answer. So far, I was only able to do that for Apple created applications. Microsoft Office and Adobe didn't allow for unchecking of that box.
That's what I was hoping someone would post - actual screen shots of what the 'pixelatioin' looks like.
At least I've seen the problem now - I can bookmark this for others.
Thanks,
Clinton
No, you shouldn't be seeing that. Again, what resolution are you using?
Clinton
For those having the pixelation issues with microsoft office, there is a fix for it on this website.
I have the same pixelation problems when using Indesign. Even the text on this web page is pixelated! I'm also using the "best for retina" option...
i can't seem to uncheck the "open in low resolution" box. anyway to unlock the box?
I have the same issue and it's making me really dizzy.
Hi Haitech,
I am facing the exact same problem and its killing me! I am a graphic designer and Adobe is like air to me. I bought the new MBP with retina 5 days ago, without knowing that something like this would happen and now feel completely conned by Apple! Have you found a solution to this yet? I am planning to return my MBP tomorrow morning as I can't deal with this pixelation issue. Apple should issue a warning regarding the compatibility of softwares under product info, so atleast the users know what they are buying into.
Would be great if anyone could help with this.
Bhavi
Bhavi,
This is a rather old thread - most (if not all) of the Adobe apps CS6 or CC are "Retina-ready." As is MS Office, now...
Which version of Adobe apps are you running?
Clinton
Hi Clinton,
I am using Adobe CS6. For MS Office, I have version 14.00.
The Apple store here in New Delhi, India, from where I purchased my MBP, had no idea how to tackle this.
Bhavi
I use Creative Cloud so I'm not sure which version of CS6 is current - but Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign, etc., are all optimized for Retina display in their current versions. You may want to check for updates.
As for Office, you're WAY behind - the latest version is 14.3.9: go under the Help menu of any Office app and select "Check for Updates." Once you're updated, Office apps will be Retina-friendly, too.
Good lick,
Clinton
Hi Clinton,
I have version 8, in CS6.
Let me try this and get back to you.
Thanks a ton,
Bhavi
Do you know if indesign and illustrator ir OK now with retina display?
But it's impossible to work like this. Even free programs, or to try a trial, it seems a problem, every hour seems like that.
I'm really sad too with this retina display issue as a photo editor and graphic designer. Thinking of return the product...
Hi Guys,
Even I am facing the same issue. Apple really need to put the word out loud and clear for potential mac buyers. Has any one got a perfect photoshop & illustrator without any pixelation for the new retina display. Cause I am using Adobe CS6 and its pixelating. Is the adobe cloud working well with retina display. Please help
