My old reliable Epson RX620 wasn't recognised by Adobe applications, so I recently I bought a new Epson PX730WD and installed it just over a month ago. It worked perfectley. I upgraded my old Adobe CS3 to CS6 and was amazed at the brilliant advancement. I was working with Mac OSX Lion and all the latest updates, the new printer/scanner and Adobe CS6 was working like it was advertised to do.
Then I had some issues with my Time Capsule recognition after one of the last updates on Lion. I was looking forward to the launch of OSX Mountain Lion, as I was told this would resolve that issue. It did. Brilliant!
BUT, when the upgrade to Mountain Lion was done on the afternoon of the 27/07/2012, I continued to work in Photsoshop just after the upgrade, but Photoshop couldn't import from the scanner as it had been doing that morning.
There was an update patch sent out via Apple shortly afterwards = Epson Update 2.11 and Epson Application Loader 2.70, which were all in the same update package.
Ever since then I have been wrestling with this problem and NO ONE seems to be able resolve it. Adobe keeps sending me links to downloads that don't work, Epson send the same links.
Iv'e tried going back to OSX Lion, Iv'e reinstalled the printer drives, Iv'e also reset it to factory defaults and re-installed drivers. I even went the whole hog and did a complete clean install.
Every time the Mac apps worked, Adobe didn't!
Iv'e even had techy-support personnel telling me that I shouldn't have upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion!
I don't think the problem is Mac based.
I see that the "Preview" application imports from the scanner and it works from the preferences and the desktop. With my detective cap on, I deduce that the problem is with Adobe.
It anyone has a solution I would be very grateful?
