Does your MacBook Pro Retina speakers buzz?

My speakers started doing this too, but before I took it in I took a last stitch effort to fix it. I cleaned it a little bit right above the keyboard just before it turns into the screen (right where it folds over and there are little squares).

-I blew into it to clean it up, dusted a little bit and all of the sudden my speakers worked again! I keep my macbook pro w/retina very clean and make sure to put it on clean surfaces too, it just needed a little dusting.

So in all, just try doing that first! Maybe it will help like it did with mine.

ur replaced of what, where u got that remplaced, and how, please thanks, im thinking to return the computer and get another new of the same store and the same model. my computer MacBook Pro retina display 2015 is only 3 days

I have the issue with my Macbook pro as well. The twist is that it happens with the external speakers in two different Thunderbolt displays and a USB headset.

I had this also, pretty badly, with a mid 2015 Macbook with latest updates. I found that I could fix it as follows:

* Open iTunes

* Open the Equalizer from the Window menu

* Turn the Equalizer off by unchecking the "On" check box

Just turning down the preamp also seems to work. It seems to be a combination of iTunes volume (not system-wide volume) and this preamp that creates clipping of sound that for me was quite evident even with the system-wide volume turned way down.

Having made that change, everything sounds great!

My problem is, my macbook retina pro starts having audio problems if it's ON continuously for more than 3-4 hours. The audio starts to distort. I tried all the settings mentioned in the trailing comments. But when it didn't improve, I took it to service center in Jaipur, the engineer started to laugh and said that I am the first person to be facing this issue. They didn't even try diagnosing the problem. My question is, does anybody else have the same problem.

In addition to this, my computer hangs multiple times a day. Any answer to this problem will be helpful, since I am not receiving any help from apple service center in Jaipur.

I stumbled on the same 'solution' as well, but it doesn't resolve the issue, it's more of a work-around than a fix.

Yeah.. I strongly believe it’s a software issue.. noticed my right speaker buzzing minutes after running an OS update.

Yes pls.. my upgrade was to the High Sierra. Decided to balance the sound to the left speaker since the crackling sound from the right was irritating. Shortly after notice the left buzzing too.
