install leopard from a iso file?

My friend gave me a legal copy of 10.5 leopard in iso format but i don't know how to install leopard from a iso or dmg file. my ibook's dvd/cd drive doesn't burn just reads file on dvd i don't know why. So is there a way to install leopard on a ibook g4 (july 2005 model) with 786 ram and 40gb hd, I heard you install leopard from a usb drive or some other king of storage divice bigger than 8gb but i don't how to either.

Still illegal unless he gives or sells you the Leopard DVD and destroys all copies he has made and removed it from any computers he owns. This is the requirement of the software license.
