I / we have two Ipod touches and I have forgotten the restriction password. I all I need to do is update it so my daughter can install an app she wants. never need it before been to tight to shell out money's for games .

You need to synch the device first, making sure you have iTunes configured as the backup repository, ie; Backup to the computer.
After the backup and restore is done, you need to set the iPod up as a new iPod, name it, and then restore from the backup....
Unfortunately, that will not work, because the backup contains the Restrictions pass lock and will reinstall it when you do the Restore. There is no way to remove the Restrictions passcode without restoring the iPod to factory settings. You can then redownload the previously purchased apps for free.
All I need to know is how do I find out my IPod's Touchs restriction codes ? Anybody help me the legal way please?
