Well, no update on an existing phone can do that. It's a hardware issue.

I believe that Griffin make a FM radio that plugs into the iPhone and can be controlled through an app. But the latest reviews are not positive.

Be aware that FM reception on a phone can be very hit and miss......

WE do care about radio on iPhone thats why we are here on the thread. Im not sure why this thread is so important to a brillant mind like KiltedTims but to me its important because its a badic function of other smartphones and iphone doesnt have it.

So buy a smartphone that does what you want it to, buying one that doesn't is weird.

You seem to have misunderstood. What I don't care about is whether you buy an Android phone.

I Am hoping that someone releases a external am/fm attennae for the iphone or some similar solution and then replies to my messages here so i find out about it. Might not happen today but when it does ill be waiting. Just not sure what the point is of everyone trying to blast this thread full of posts about how pointless it is. And the more people that discuss the topic the more people that might be able to have a common goal and interest. Thats what forums are about i thought.

i Like the iphone ive never said i wanted to buy an android that just an assumption. I only pointes out that rhe android has one, another reason its silly for apple not to. You can keep mentioning hiw you dont care if i buy an android but i am just comparing. I like tge iphone and will stick with it even if it doesnt do everything i want. There is nothing wrong woth comparisons.

Actually, we are not allowed to discuss future Apple products or speculate - see the ToU which we all had to agree to when we established an account here:

They do read those.

Where did you get that false information from? "Android" is not a phone. It is an operating system used by many different phones from many different manufacturers. A few of those phones have FM radio capabilities. Most do not, and newer models from some manufacturers that supported it in the past no longer do. Here's the list of those that do have FM radio capabilities: http://www.androidpit.com/android-phones-with-offline-fm-radio.
