IRR and non-contiguous range
I am looking to calculate an IRR with cash flows that are not in a single column or row. I am wondering if Numbers can handle a non-contiguous range and if so, how?
After experimenting a bit, I expected IRR((a, b:c, d), ) to work but it didn't. Instead, I got an error message that states, "The formula contains a list where a single argument is expected."
I would suspect that dealing with (or not being able to handle) non-contiguous ranges is not an IRR issue but any function looking for range as an argument.
Has anyone needed to do this and has done so successfully?
