Cannot load 2 Gmail accounts at the same time in Safari (multiple sign-in)

This never used to be a problem before the latest Safari update:

When I try to open a window of the other Gmail account that I am logged into (multiple sign in), it always freezes close to the end of loading it. Really annoying. All the more reasons to use Chrome.

Hi folks!

Interesting fact: i've worked on lion and had the same problem with gmail. Than I upgraded OS to mountain lion with new safari gmail started work correctly.

Today I've installed Adobe CS6 Suite and i,ve got the same problem again!!!

I've reseted Safary, reinstalled adobe flash and shockwawe... Nothing happened.

What do you suggest?

Please do not tell me to install Chrome or use mail software...

Best regards,

Finally it works!!! 🙂

I've reinstalled Adobe Suite and everything is working! My suggestion is that problem was in a small component named "Adobe Air" included in suite, the second idea is that previously i've opened safary when installation was in progress.

So I suggest to cleane adobe (use their cleaning tool) and than install it again.

P.S. I use Air installed via free package from adobe website.

Everythin is OK.

Yeah, i have a MacBook Air and Mountain Lion as well and with Safari it's hit and miss. It was working fine for a while, now it's failing all the time. Very frustrating.

I switched from Chrome because Chrome had WAY too many problems with Shockwave Flash crashing. Of course, Apple won't support anything having to do with Chrome. I suspect Apple won't support any issues with multipl log-in either and will blame it on Gmail.

I hate these things that fall through the cracks and for which there is no support -- it's as though the various providers would prefer we live in a universe only of their own making. Of course Google is worse than most in that they provide zero service for anything that goes wrong. At least with Apple you can walk into a store and be told no to your face.

It's funny how some forums are populated by people who seem to have motives other than *being helpful*. The human:troll ratio on this forum is always very high. And yet still I come... Anyway, just ignore the trolls and lusers.

I too am having the same problem with Safari. For me too it worked fine until a recent update.

I too prefer Gmail's web interface for some things (I never thought I'd have said that a few months back), though you loose the cool Appley goodness like pasting images from memory (screen shots for example) into an email and other ways the OS and apps work with Mail, and also sending mail by clicking on mailto: html links.

The main reason I started using Gmails web interface is I sometimes use a metered internet connection and Apple Mail has a horrible habbit of using tons of bandwidth because it requently needs to redownload all mail. Another bug? It's been there for many versions of Mail.

Yeah, I agree.

You'd think that someone with a high reputation score on this forum would be aware that there's not 1 right way of doing something on a computer.

The funny thing is that the alternatives that people suggest, e.g. Mail, Chrome, have many of their own bugs. By no means is that a solution.

For example, here is a very serious bug in mail with no solution since before summer: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4122115
