I have been having problems since last week updating apps on my iPhone and iPad. I have tried multiple log outs of my account and restarting my devices but today on my iPhone I found out that I can update my apps via my cellular network but not via wifi. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a quick fix for this?

I've experiances this when on a public, non secure wifi... like at an airport etc.
Any passwords sent over a network like this are not secure, like the password required for updating apps.
Are you on a WPA2 wifi network?

Yes. I am on my home network with WPA2 security. Never had a problem updating apps until last week.
I've even tried deleting the app but have the same problem re-installing the app itself.
Is it only that app?
Maybe try deleting the app and doing a hard restart.
To power down hold the home and power button until the slide to powwer off appears.

I tried that too. Still getting the same problem. I have looked at similar problems in different discussions within the support community with varying solutions but have not come up with one that works yet.
Delete your network from your ipad and iphone, do a reset and then reconnect to your network

Just tried your possible fix and did not work. Still telling me that the app cannot be downloaded at this time.
Tried rebooting my modem and router at home. Deleted apps, logged out of iTunes account, restarted iPad and still getting the same message after trying to reinstall the app. Funny thing is that my wife was having the same problem on her iPhone but when she turned off wifi and tried updating on AT&T 3G network, the apps would update fine. It may be slower to update it that way but it does update. I cannot do that on my iPad since it does not have cellular capabilities at this time.
if your wife is having the same problem on a different device, it makes me wonder if it's an issue with your internet service provider. if you get a chance, try updating it on a different wifi network maybe? say at a cafe, or at a friend's place, etc.
I doubt it would be the ISP. All The other functionalities of the iPhone and iPad work as far as connectivity to the Internet. But at this point, I'll try anything.
The problem is fixed. I had to change my wireless router. The Cisco e4200 router with the latest firmware was giving me the trouble. Replaced it with a Netgear wndr3700 and all the apps have no problem downloading or updating on all our apple devices. Did not reset the Cisco router to factory settings to see if that was the problem. I was just content that the problem was resolved.
On a side note: I have had the Cisco router for about 6 months and have updated the firmware only once but have not changed any other settings. The problem started sometime last week and I have not done anything with my home network as far as adding or subtracting devices. Maybe the router has gone bad. Anyway, thanks to all of you that have tried to help me with this particular problem.
My same problem for over 1 week got fixed in a couple of minutes.
The soultion was changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4
I've got this problem too. It won't download apps on your WiFi but when i try to connect to a different WiFi it now downloads.
i Think the problem here is the WiFi. Am searching for an solution cos i wanna download an app right now
