Apple's support site ( http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html) reckons the Nokia Series 60 Smartphones will support syncing the following: Address Book, Address Book Pictures, Calendar, and To Do Items. They already specifically list the N70 & N90.

I really look forward to replacing my SE K750i with the N80, but really want iSync support too!

LG

Hi,

there's another thread about iSync 2.2 and Nokia N71:

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=455094&tstart=0

The suggested solution (see the blog site given in the thread) works fine for the N71 apparently, and I managed to adapt it to me Nokia E60 just by changing all the strings "N71" to "E60". Maybe the same trick works for the N80????

Fingers crossed,

Thomas

hello,

i remember getting a SE phone before it was supported and changing some sort of script things to get it to work, but i'm not of the technical level where i know exactly what to with the solution you post Harri.

if your solution works, would you mind telling us how what files to modify? my n80 arrived yesterday...

look forward to hearing back from you,

cheers,

nick.

Hi Nick,

The file you need to change is (control-click iSync application to open it)

/Applications/iSync.app/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/
Contents/PlugIns/PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin/Contents/Resources/MetaClasses.plis t

Just duplicate the entry for N90 and replace the "N90" strings with "N80-1" - I did it with BBEedit. Take all the usual precautions (make backup, check and double-check syntax with plutil etc.).

Cheers,
Harri
