Hi I have a problem with my iphone, because it wont work in norway after Ive been using it in America for 9 months now.
the carrier I use in Norway is Telenor, and I know its something about the unlock, but can I get a straight forward answer on what I have to do to get this to work?
people all around the network keep walking around the point, and I just dont get it, and it keeps annoying me!

Did your american carrier unlock it before you departed the US?
What carrier did you use while you where in America? You will need to contact that carrier to have your phone unlocked, they are the only one who can.

The only US iPhone that is being unlocked is the AT&T version which AT&T may cooperate and uinlock for customers who have had an established contract for about two years. You need to contact AT&T and see if they will unlock it for you if you are a citizen of Norway and were here in the US for a visit and now returned to Norway.
Im a norwegian citizen and have now returned, I used the prepaid AT&T network while I was in america and therefore I had no contract with them, idk if this really makes any sence to any of you but I just hate it..

Yes, you must contact AT&T customer service to work out the details and see if they will unlock the iPhone for you.
No contract does NOT equal "unlocked". If the phone is locked to AT&T, you will have to contact them and inquire about having it unlocked.
I bought my phone from a second hand seller from puerto rico, but it worked just fine in the US.
Please dont tell me I neet to contact the carrier in puerto rico, cause my espanol isnt exactly flawless, if you know what I mean!
