I tried all the steps in this post except calling support (sorry, I hate to call support) on my case nothing worked.

I was able to finally make it work uninstalling not only iTunes but also all the other Apple related programs on my PC (Apple Support, Apple Sftw Update, Apple Mobile device support) and installing iTunes again.


It worked!


I'm sure for 99% of the cases the options listed above are far better, but if you, like me, tried them all and are still having problems, you may want to give this option a shot.

B.T,W data from the library was preserved, after the uninstall, reinstall process.
