Can not delete old sideshow, iPhoto freezes

Hi everyone, Im running iPhoto 9.3.1 on a retina MBP

I built a slideshow a while ago and I want to delete it now. I may have deleted photos that were on the sideshow, not sure, but there were about 1,020 pictures in it.

When I click on the sideshow, it hangs and I get the spinning beach ball until I force quit. Any of my other slideshows work just fine, I just can't right click on this slideshow to delete it. I couldn't find a mention of it when I "Show Package Contents" of the iPhoto Library by the way.

By following a tip in an old thread, I WAS able to move it to the trash by doing the following:

1. Add a new slide show

2. Click on the slideshow to highlight it

3. Hold down the command key and click on the bad slideshow as well

4. Delete both

Now the slideshow is in the trash, however, I now get a beachball when I try to EMPTY the trash.

Any ideas? I wish there was a file in the library file I could simply delete to resolve this.
