How can you Remotely turn on iPhone?

I just had a few co-workers get their iPhone stolen. Is there a way to turn these on and use find my iPhone? Even if the feature doesn't exist today it needs to be implemented. Even if the only the police can do it. Because this person needs to be caught. Any HELP?

The droid has a remote turn on, you would think apple would to. Although, the more iphones stolen and not revocered, the more iphones they sell to replace. Apple ought to get their act together and look out for their consumers. I have broken 3 iphones, after the second apple cancelled my insurance. Today I lost my phone and with the findmyphone feature, useless, I still can't find my phone.

You do understand what 'turned off' means don't you? It means the phone has no power. Without power the phone can do nothing. How can a phone that is turned off without power be communicated with to receive a signal to turn on.

If the phone can receive signals from a remote server, then it obviously isn't turned off as it needs power to be able to do anything.

Always turn on SEND LAST LOCATION

but if you didn't set it up in the first place then your phone is gone......forever

Why do people think this stuff is automatic?

If you READ the instructions or better yet, go to a Apple store and have one of those people help you set it up and explain it to you

Even when battery is critically low/about to shut down, the device will send it's last GPS coordinates to Find My iPhone map

There is NO physical way to REMOTELY turn on ANYTHING that does NOT have power going to it, you need power going into ANYTHING to be able to remotely turn it on

So even a "hemDroid" is NOT actually turned off to be remotely "turned on", it's more like WAKE FROM SLEEP - NETWORK

Turning something off, means NO POWER at all

If you can't keep your iPhones (you always loose them or get stolen), then switch to a $49 Walmart Android phone and pick new people to hang around with
