When trying to copy files to a flash drive, I keep getting an error message that says "the item "name" can't be copied because there isn't enough free space", when clearly there is plenty of disk space on both the hard drive of the computer and the currently empty flash drive. Is there a fix for this?

Have you emptied the trash with the Flash Drive plugged in?

Well, I have got a hard disk from a friend
When I open it first of all the windows opens saperatley and secondly I can't copy from the hard disk
