icloud not syncing documents to between new ipad and iphone 4s

Documents created on my iPad or my iPhone will only display the documents that were create on the individual device, my spreadsheets from my ipad don't show up on my iphone, the presentations from my iphone don't show up on my ipad.

I've tried every combination of turning iCloud documents & data off in the iCloud setting and the app settings themselves.

They are both using the same iCloud account.

I have deleted and re-enabled the iCloud account on both devices.

I have restored both devices from back ups.

I never had this problem before I moved up from iPad 2 to New iPad.

Can anyone help?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

Just adding in my $0.02. I had the same issue. In the end, restarting the devices that seemed to not be working solved the problem. My iPhone was up to date, but my iPad was not updating. I tried a lot of different things on the iPad but nothing got it to work. I just restarted the iPhone and apparently that was the device that wasn't syncing, even though it had the most recent copies of my documents. Once I did that, everything worked fine on the ipad. Probably not the issue for a lot of. People, but hopefully this helps someone out there.

I received an email from the Apple iWork team! I answered a list of questions and they are looking into the problem.

An update - after leaving my iPad on overnight on Pages, an older version of all my files and folders appeared.. but it is not updating anything after that.. I made a test file on my iPhone and on my iPad and they have not synced yet ....

Add me to the long list of people absolutely lost in the foggyness of iCloud. I've been trying to get this ironed out for months -- and, to be more honest, hoping an update would simply fix the problem. Hey, new systems are going to be glitchy. I'd hoped this would get ironed out, but I'm pretty much spent on patience at this point. I can't get Pages, Numbers, *or* Keynote to consistently sync with iCloud -- on the iPhone 5, the iPad 2, *or* on my MacBook Pro. Everything's current. Everything's turned on. I've turned stuff off, back on, back off, back on. I've done pretty much everything I've seen and read above, several times over, and I just can't get anything to work.

On the MacBook, Pages (right now) is saying "Waiting" with my two solitary test documents. On my iPhone, I have another test document with the arrow. The other two test documents haven't shown up of course -- and the third is not, obviously, showing up on the MacBook. I've given up with the iPad for now and am forced to use it as a standalone, emailing documents to myself when I need them, etc.

And yes, I've tried all the tricks above -- and yes, I've turned on iCloud and all that jazz. Just nothing's worked for a very, very long time now. God, I'd love to get this working before mid-August -- when the semester starts. I couldn't use it as I'd hoped last semester (I'm a teacher).

Any more tricks anyone can offer? Or should I wait and pray Apple support will contact me? Please help!

Trust me, I / we "feel your pain." I'm an educator too and likewise hope this is all ironed out by the Fall. I'd say just wait a bit. I know for a fact Apple knows about this issue and I know that they are trying to resolve it (I have been on tech support with them calling me asking for specific information), so they are on it. The more posts here, the better.

Best,

Vincent

Hey Everyone,

I spent several hours with a super nice rep from Apple but did not get any results. One day my documents stopped syncing to and from my iMac. We restarted, signed out and did everything under the sun to try and get things back on line to no success. I finally had a friend come over and sign into my icloud with there laptop and it worked. I have no idea what this means but maybe this helps someone who is more computer savvy sort out what is going on. FYI, this all began around the time the "beta" iWork came out.
