How do you keep you screen lit longer?
My screen goes dark too fast. I just had my phone reset and can't figure out how to keep the screen light longer.

If you mean by it locking or the screen going to the lock screen, you would have to go to your settings, then go to general, and then go to "auto-lock". There, you can program how many minutes it would take for your screen to darken.
Hope this helps!

By dark you could mean a couple of things: screen goes completely black and you have to unlock the phone or the screen dims after time or the screen dims due to changes in lighting.
Solutions:
Screen goes black Settings > General > Auto-Lock then select Never
Screen dims after time: Still looking for a solution
Screen dims due to changes in lighting Settings > General > Brightness > Auto-Brightness slide to off
I hope one of the two solutions help. I'll continue searching for a third solution.
All you know it alls are wrong! - why not try researching the answer before just assuming you always know - is not settings>general >auto-lock.
It's settings>display & Brightness>auto-lock
So sick of these know it alls who give the wrong answer!

I don't know if this will work for the rest of the iPhone's however on on my Apple iPhone 6s Plus this is how you do it. First press the Home Button to bring up the Home Screen, then Touch settings at the Home Screen, Touch Brightness and Display, Touch Auto-Lock then Touch Never, then press Home Button to accept the settings. I didn't care for my screen never turning off so I opted for the 1 minute option.
Setting the phone to auto-lock never keeps the screen on all the time, not just when the phone is plugged in. If you leave your screen on all the time when the phone is not plugged it, it will drain the battery incredibly quickly. Not advised.
I beg to disagree with you. Touching Auto-Lock and choosing the option Never will keep the screen lighted because on mine the screen remained lighted, however I do agree with you it's not recommended because of the tremendous drain on the battery.
Because my comment was about my 6s plus and I stated I don't know about the other iPhone but on my 6s plus it's Settings, Brightness and Display, Auto-Lock and Never and you came in and tried to rip it to pieces and made absolutely clear it was going to be you way or none. As I've already stated we can keep this going until **** Freezes over If You Are So Inclined.

I'm sick of people who sign up to these forums for the sole purpose of criticizing people who are trying to help. It's doubly annoying when those people don't bother to 1) check the dates on the posts they're upset about and 2) check their facts. As stedman1 notes, those answers were absolutely, 100% correct at the time they were given. The only thing worse than a knowitall is a know-nothing who thinks they know-it-all.

How can you disagree with me when we're saying the same thing? Yes, Auto-lock>Never keeps the screen lit all the time. I said that in my post. What you originally asked for was a way to keep the iPhone lit only when plugged in. Auto-lock>Never does not do that.

I've been nothing but civil to you. I don't know what has your knickers in such a twist but, no, really, I've no interest in prolonging my agony.
When you go to a message thread to get an answer it really pays to look at the dates of the replies. This thread is almost 4 years old. The answer to the original question has changed in those 4 years. The original answer was correct when it was posted in 2012. The answer from dyinisus was correct when it was posted in 2017.
I just replaced my 6s with a 7+. On my 6s the phone wouldn't lock if it was plugged in, it would just dim. I could have sworn there was a setting to keep the phone from locking when it was plugged in. On my 7+ it locks even when it's plugged in unless I have an app opened that has a specific setting to not lock when open and plugged in. I've checked General, Display & Brightness, Battery, and Music settings. Did this functionality go away with the iOS 11 update(s)? I also don't have an option in Display & Brightness to never lock. I assume this is because of security from my corporate email account.

No, sadly, there has never been such a setting on an iPhone. Some apps will keep the screen lit if the phone is plugged in, things like Spotify and Netflix.

Yes, very often corporate profiles remove that feature. They want to make sure that the phone gets locked if unattended.
You said auto-lock you didn't include the option Never. Go back and read your first reply, or are you one of those people who is going to flat out brow beat the God ****** answer in until you get your way just like DER President BUZZARD FUHRER. By the you could have put that in a separate comment, you didn't have to intrude in on mine. So are you and I going to keep this going until **** freezes over?

This is my first response to you:
Please point out where I said auto-lock doesn't include never. I said it is often removed by corporate profiles. In order to be removed, something has to be there in the first place. Ergo....
I've tried to help you. I've been nothing but civil. I have no idea why you feel it's necessary or appropriate to be rude to me.
