iPhone 4s keyboard issue - Language setting is English yet space bar and return key display no english words.

Whenever I access the edit keyboard the space bar always displays "spatie" and the return key sometimes displays "Zoek". What is going on? I have tried to find a setting that causes this and cannot locate one. I have looked on this site and it seems this is unique or I am missing some setting. Any suggestions?
