App updates won't download on my iPhone, they just say waiting.

Howdy all

All of a sudden updates to apps or new apps will not download. Icons for the apps will show a blank progress bar and say waiting. Have tried with wireless signals at home and work. All apps work fine so it's not cant connect to Internet issue. Thanks for any help

iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.

Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.

If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

Thanks for the help. It was a podcast in iTunes that had failed to completly download. I had tried tapping the app without success and even deleted some that were "waiting", never thought to check iTunes. Thanks again for the help
