Invalid Certificate Signing Request

I've generated a Certificate Signing Request from a self signed SSL certificate on a new server set up for deploying iPads. When I try to upload the .crs file with the certificate request key to Apple's Push Cert portal, it says it's invalid. This, I figure, is what is causing the Trust Profile install to fail when I use Apple Configurator to deploy the profiles.

Any ideas?
