AFAIK there is no legal objection to this, I do exactly the same thing. The .rwsw 'sandwich' file for each site is kept in my Documents folder and is synced between two Macs so that I can update on either. This contains all the data and images etc. for the site except for photo galleries - you must ensure that the photos in these are kept in exactly the same relative position as on the original Mac.

The application is simply an application and can be copied over and live anywhere: you would want to transer the Preferences files as well.

Plugins and additional themes live in (user)/Library/Application Support/Rapidweaver and should be copied to the same location.

If you are using Lion, note that the user Library is hidden: you can open it by holding the option key down while clicking the Finder 'Go' menu, and it will then appear in the list there.

Thanks for this info, will give it a go!

Just wanted to ask, by just copying the Rw folders from the Macbook pro and transfering to the Imac in the same location,Library/ application support/RW, will these leave both computers ablle to worlk on the RW projects etc?

I have only about 10 sites published so can move them into my docs (currently on desktop screen) and then move into same Docs file on IMac?

All images would have been published to the Server! is that right! im not using Collage plugin or anything!!!!

Hope you dont mind me asking.

Yes, you can work from either computer provided that a) the layout of files is the same on both and b) you observe the rules of syncing and if you've modified the site on computer A you don't try modifying it on computer B until you've synced or copied the .rwsw file back from computer A to replace the older version on computer B. This requires discipline about syncing, and failure to observe this will eventually lead to lost changes.

All the media files will be on the server but you still need them on your Mac or subsequent updates will fall over.
