I just plugged my ipod into my computer and itunes gave me a message saying " iTunes cannot read the contents of the ipod '_iPod'. Go to the Summary tab in iPod preferences and click Restore to restore the iPod to factory settings." Is there anything i can do to fix my ipod touch besides restoring it? My ipod is currently on ios 4.3.3. Please help me!

Is your iPod formatted as Mac or Windows? If it is Mac formatted it will work only for Mac, if for Windows only on Windows. If it is right, you have to restore.
Jaggions, iOS devices like iPod touchs, iPhones and iPads are not formatted to a particular computer operating system like other iPods. Thus your comment/suggestion is not applicable/incorrect.
Please be more careful in the future.

what do you mean by that? I don't have any macs so i guess windows. Please elaborate more on that jaggions.
if you got an ipod touch you don't need to worry about that.

about ipod touch being formated for windows or mac. if anything windows it (not itunes)self might think the ipod touch is a digital camera if you got the 4g.
This sometimes happenes when ipod touch becomes unstable you may need to restore
So lllaass, resetting my ipod touch will fix the problem of itunes not being able to read the contents of my ipod touch?
itunes doesn't say ipod touch it just says ipod like all ipod.
Itunes can't read the contents of my ipod!
