Cannot connect to App Store
Cannot conect to App Store from within App Store application. I can connect to the iTunes store no problem as well as my iCloud account. Error messages started 4-5 days ago. Any suggestions?

I am having exactly the same issue, with exactly the same symptoms. Reset my apple id password this morning, and can sign into iCloud and iTunes just fine with the new password, but get a Connection Failed error when signing into the App Store.

I'm having the same problem, too...
BUT, I don't get any error messages ~ simply the icon keeps bouncing, until I 'force' it to quit...
AND there's no other way to access updates ~ when I tried, they all looped back to the non-responding App Store function.
I started to have the same problem 2 days ago on my iPhone 6; Facebook app wouldn't work so I tried going to the App store and would get error "Cannot connect to App store". Someone suggested going to the settings under iTunes & App Store and sign out and then back in; I tried it and it only changed the error to "Cannot connect to iTunes store. What finally fixed the problem is I shut down the phone completely and waited a minute before turning it back up. I had to sign in again under settings-iTunes & App Store, but it signed me in right away and was able to go to the App store app and worked just fine.

I have SOLVED this sucker - down and done! I have had this problem for a long time, as a lot of you have.
My solution may be what you are looking for. I followed the steps that had been recommended, to no avail.
What I did was - went into SETTINGS / MOBILE DATA and then there is a list of apps to which you can select in order for mobile data to be used for.
Lo and behold! - the app store application was not selected. I merely turned it on and the problem was solved. I now can enter the app store.

Except that you are speaking of the iTunes/iOS App Store on an iOS device. This is the Using Mac App Store forum in the Mac App Store community, which has absolutely nothing to do with your issue.
