cannot connect to iTunes store on my iphone

Opening SAFARI worked!

On my iphone 3GS, I could open the itunes "store", make the purchase, and the app icon appeared on my iphone, but it would not load, "installing" or, "waiting", no progress at all.

Tried updates, "cannot connect to store".

Frustrated, I checked online for a solution, & found your suggestion.

As soon as I opened SAFARI, the app began to make progress.

It was not a problem on my end at all, and now the download has completed.

Try putting your date sometime in the future by abt 4-5 yrs. Access the App store and you will get a security error. Then reset the date to today and try again. That worked for me when nothing else would.

not a problem with apple. you need to go to safari and enter a site it will ask you for your wifi password. once you enter this, you can go to aps or itunes store and download. the problem is some wifi dont ask for password unless you go to safari on wifi.

you need wifi to download alot of aps. some wifis only ask for password on a safari site. you need to go there first on a site before you can go to itunes store or download your aps.

I can not connect to the iTunes Store after the new 6.0 update help!!

Can't connect over 3G, it works fine over wifi. Tried everything. It won't connect to app store or iTunes store.

what site do I enter on Safari, all answers say enter site. what site? I try itunes site on apple? did not work.

Thanks so much. I set my date to 2019. Tried to connect to itunes store. Could not. Changed the date back to 2013. Openned itunes store apps and WHALLA, it works. Thanks again. BTW, how did you figure this out?

I've tried every solution mentioned in this thread and related ones, and nothing has worked. This is so frustrating!!!

Appears to have been a server issue. iPhone 5 and iPad now working!
