then that would be a world headline. but at least the cafe you go to will tell you: "somehow we couldn't use our visa machine so we cannot accept credit cards until the issue fixed."

i've sent a feedback. but i guess they'll just treat that as spam.

Which means if I don't have cash I still can't buy anything, so how does knowing why do anything for me. And do you think Apple is doing this just to vex you?

Why would they do that? Why would they go to all the trouble to put up a feedback page and then treat feedback as spam. There have been a number of issues in the past where people lots of people have submitted feedback and, what do you know? Apple made the changes. The most recent was the slider button on the side of the iPad. People wanted the function to be selectable. Now, it is.

I hope I never become that cynical.

of course it would be different, there are too many possible reasons for a result, for example it could be the problem with your card or they simply don't want to accept your card because you are on a suspect list of using stolen or false cards. It's nothing to do with vexing or pleasing somebody, its ethics, I don't know if you understand the concept of informed choices, would you be happy if your doctor just tell you that you gonna die without letting you know why or what disease you have got just because you gonna die anyway.

    Wow, talk about overdramatizing something.

Anyway, try it again, some people are reporting it is working again.

I'm not being cynical, I admit their phone service was the best in the industry and has been a model for many companies. if it is product issue and many people experienced it then they will consider it seriously. but i'm afraid this has to do with their policy issues. Also, it is interesting to acknowledge that they are quite insist on their product philosophy and integrity, some may call it stubborn. but that was the reason I like their products. For example, when the first iphone was release there were many asking them to put on a physical keyboard.

Just see, i'll be surprised if I get a reponse for this feedback.

No, you won't get a response. It tells you that at the top of the Feedback page. That doesn't mean they don't read it.

  • deggie Level 9 (52,662 points)

I'll be surprised too since it clearly says on that page that you will NOT receive a response.

ok, thanks for letting me know. yup, actually I quite angry because I tried to reset my phone too many times and its from icloud backup but actually I didn't need to do anything.

  • Meg St._Clair Level 9 (50,827 points)

Well, at least you're not dying of some disease your doctor didn't tell you about.

  • deggie Level 9 (52,662 points)

So at what point in all this did you call AppleCare?

  • chiaihuang Level 1 (10 points)

i didn't call apple care. I'm using a 2.5 yr old iphone 4 and no extended warranty so apparently I can't use apple care for this device.

  • deggie Level 9 (52,662 points)

The iPhone 4 was released in July 2010 so it can't be 2.5 years old. I think for this type of question they would not have charged you.

  • chiaihuang Level 1 (10 points)

well, should be 1 and half year, must have mixed up the time with previous one. I rarely call except for hardware issues, besides it was a sunday in NZ when I was doing all these, I don't know if the call centre was available.

Anyway I can sign in using Apple ID now but phone number is still waiting for activation have you noticed anything?
