Q: GET THE FACETIME AND IMESSENGER SERVERS FIXED

This is driving me crazy.

Apple has to have the worst support service that I have ever had the misfortune to have dealt with.

No normal support email address - what is that about.

No freaking mods in here that can actually tell us what is happening and why so many ppl are having issues at the same time with FaceTime and iMessenger.

Get this fixed - I'm not paying money to call a call centre when the issue has clearly been caused from apples side.

Following steps do not work:

  • Resetting
  • Updating
  • Trying a different Apple ID
  • Resetting WiFi Networks or Changing WiFi networks
  • Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 or 4.4.8.8 or 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4
  • Changing country when setting up the iPod

Just get this sorted - this is clearly an issue with the servers that has been going on for a few days now.

This useless Jive based forum just makes it worse as it is a nightmare to navigate.

Waiting for a useful response.

Cheers.

This is a user-to-user forum. We are all just users like yourself. Apple does not monitor or respond in these forums.

    Thanks for your useful response!

I'm aware that this is user-to-user - this is exactly my point.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from apple - it's pathetic. I'm not happy to just simply play the Jive Forums "gamification" game. I'm an apple customer and user of it's products but I'm not a fan and don't intend to help carry on this farcical facade they call customer support!

Apple should sort this out and employ some mods or community managers.

I'm not actually expecting a useful answer and won't hold my breath for this to change anytime in the future.

    Cheers

The servers are down at this moment. There is nothing no one can do on Apples side to fix the problem.

Rugby13 - Maybe just a little patience is needed.

"Apple has to have the worst support service that I have ever had the misfortune to have dealt with."

You really haven't had to contact too many companies then! Try calling Microsoft and be speaking to a technician in under a minute, it ain't going to happen.

While I appreciate your annoyance, I have an issue also, called apple care, got straight through, no holding, was speaking with someone who I can understand and is based in same city I live in.

She was unable to help with my issue as ios 7 has been out for only a few hours, but did whatever she could to assist.

Gave me a case number to call again should the error not be fixed in 24hrs.

I'll take this crapy service anyday!!!  Oh, by the way, I wasn't on the phone for hours just trying to speak to someone, got transfered multiple times and spoke to someone half way around the world who doesn't speak English with the same accent that I can't understand!

The servers are undergoing tons of stress with all the downloads today. Give it some time, everything should be back up by tomorow.

Apple's servers are slammed right now with iOS 7 downloads AND activation requests.

Be patient and try again later.

I forgot to add, the technician said to turn off your imessage under settings, wait 24hrs and then turn back on again.

Waiting over 24hrs will make imessage reset or reconfigure itself, hence should fix the issue.
