Status of automated Software Update on Mac OS X 10.3?

Looking at several recent comments here and in other forums, it looks like the automated Software Update for Mac OS X 10.3.x (Panther) systems is failing with a "-1001 error" (which is a network timeout error) or with a "Software Update can't connect to the Update Server" error.

Presumably, either the update server is broken or Apple has discontinued the automated update service. Fortunately, it appears that most/all Panther updates are still available for manual download.

1) Can anyone confirm if Apple has finally discontinued automated software updates for Panther?

2) If Apple is no longer offering the update service, is there a consolidated list out there of all available Panther updates, including firmware updates, QuickTime, etc.? It might be handy to download them all now to make future Panther updates/reinstalls easier if the automated updates are no longer available. (I know that you can search for them manually, but a consolidated list might be quite a bit faster.)

After reading your topic, I just tried Software update on my iBook G4 running 10..3.9 and also find Software Update no longer functions.

SoftwareUpdateCheck[347] connection:didFailWithError: timed out

SoftwareUpdateCheck: network error

Whilst I don't have any officail list of 10.3.9 updates, I can post My Software update log for you.

The dates are when I installed the updates, not the date of the update issued, but you would know that.
