Free Mountain Lion Upgrade

I filled in the info for the free Mountain Lion upgrade on my retina macbook pro... unfortunately I'm from Canada and it asked for a zip code (even though I was on apple.ca). I put in my postal code and was able to "submit my info" and get a claim reference number. Hopefully it still works.. I did notice it appended United States to my address too.

I'm in France, and here to we are several to get "Already been used" error message ("Ce code a déjà été utilisé").

Wait & See I guess...

It's been well over an hour and I've yet to receive the e-mail. I got the claim reference number but no redemption code. How long did it take for everyone else after they entered their info to receiving the code?

I got mine within 10 minutes of submitting the form. But still can't use the code as of yet due to already used problem a lot of us seem to be having.

Must be because I entered my Postal Code in the ZIP Code field.. They must have not thought Canadian's would want a free upgrade? Or a small oversight?

There's a good chance that they suspended emailing out codes until they have this issue resolved.

It's been I think over 3 hours now. I hope putting my Postal Code in the US Zip Code part didn't screw up my free upgrade permanently.

I did contact Apple Care, and was told of the redemption problems that they were having. They also said that it could take as long as 72 hours for a new code to be issued. After about 3 hours of waiting, I decided to purchase the update (which was very fast and painless). How much is your time worth? For me 3 hours is surely worth more than $19.00. Maybe Apple will reimburse those of us who decided to purchased instead of waiting for hours. Lets hope they do something to help those of us who had to deal with their problems...
