Mountain Lion redemption code has already been used

OS X Server code here too, starting to get a little annoyed now.

For the people who are receiving OS X Server codes... Are you using a serial number from an Apple Server? or on the up-to-date page, they may have clicked the link to redeem a code for the new OS X Server and not the link for Mountain Lion. Both links are on the same page. One link right above the other.

If one person reported a os x server. i would believe he/she might have clicked on the wrong link. 3 persons clicked the wrong link? No way, ask yourself, would you have clicked on the wrong link? Won't you double confirm and read before you clicked on anything?

The fourth guy who got a os x server, please report here now.

Nope, selected MacBook. And this was a follow-up from a customer service rep as well, so it was well documented what I had and what the issue was.

The OSX server code was way on the bottom of the page, and it's clearly labeled. I think if a bunch of people are having this problem it's still apple's fault. Seriously, how does this happen?

Ok new problem. Finnaly after 27 hours of waiting i finally get my second code. I redeem the 2nd code and its says "OS X Server". Now heres the real problem, I cannot download this because it says "You must be updated to OS X 10.8" (which is OS X mountain lion). So now i guess we must wait for a mountain lion (Non-Server) code again.

we got 4 cases of os x server. Why not play a game. lets try to predict how many users who got a os x server reports to this post.

I am guessing 20. Any other numbers?

We are talking 3 so far out of millions of people. If it was 3 out of 10 than it would make sense.For the amount of people who have filed for the code than there should be more incorrect clicks. Human error is really high. It should actually be about for every 100 people at least 1 will click the wrong link. You are talking as if 300 out of 1000 people said they received the wrong code. You would be surprised how many people don't confirm what they are clicking. Theres 1000's of people that don't even know they have to go to a webpage in order to file for the redemption code. They think Mountain Lion will me emailed to them or mailed to their house.

You would think they would pay a little closer attention to what they were doing after their first mistake. They really need to get their **** together.

i had hoped that serial number contains at least device's class.

The customer representative doesn't personally mail it out. So them putting it in their notes won't affect anything in an automated system.

You are making a fool out of yourself. i shall stop here and let the "I got os x server" posts to wake you up.

What I'm saying is that the server link was way out of they way on the bottom of the web page. It would be unlikely that you would scroll down ten miles to accidentally click on the wrong link when the right one is right there at the top of the page next to the pretty graphics.

I can say with 100% accuracy that the correct link was clicked. It was pretty obvious. Also every single document that has come from Apple has stated OS X Mountain Lion. No reference of Server ANYWHERE.

Also considering that Server is an add-on to Mountain Lion, and you need the OS installed first. It makes no sense that they would send the server people just a code for the Server app and not also Mountain Lion OS.
