Just gone through the process to get a redemption code for Mountain Lion. Successfully received the PDF that contained the code, tried to redeem it in the Mac App store and got an error saying:
"This code has already been used. Each code may only be used once."
Oh dear. Are they sending out duplicates? What should I do now?

Get their **** together? You're talking about an automated response system for redeeming a code for an operating system that has way over exceeded anyones expectations. So, yes. That will cause a back up in the system and can cause problems... If you would like a comparison let's use Microsoft, who solds 10s of millions of copies of an OS that they knew was beyond faulty, then releases a new OS 6 months later and wants everyone to pay for a whole new OS because of their poor programming. Now, thats a company that doesn't have their **** together. I think this is more falling on impatience.

Stop talking about demand exceeding expectations. Apple knows the demand cause they know how many macs they sold. period! They should have been prepared for this!
No, I meant what I said. When they noticed that they sent out the wrong codes the first time they should have payed a little closer attention to their automated system to make it work right. Not cause a secondary problem. They need to get right the FIRST time not the THIRD. It's a little late at this point to be blaming it on the automated system.
Just got my new code after waiting 24 hours. I also recieved a OS X Server code instead of Mountain Lion. Big fail on Apples part. Not very impressed. Apple care said to email uptodatesupport@apple.com, and they are the only ones that can help me.
That email is useless. I have sent 4 emails to them without reply. The feedback form is better, at least i got a template reply from them. just what others got.
Yes, I am debating this. I receive emails all the time from people from either one of my websites or a problem with their computer, 85% of the time its human error. And yes, then will sit there and debate you, claiming its nothing they did. Until you prove it was them and then they simply say, "oh". As if they're in complete denial. 6
To continue with statement from yesterday... 6 people our of the 9 received their code with in hours of redeeming it. All 6 codes worked. The other 3 received their 2nd redemption code today, which all 3 worked.
As for me, I am still waiting for my first redemption code. But, I have patience, as they stated it may take up to 72 hours.
That makes 6 them right ?
Well right in the PDF file it said the code was for Mountain Lion not OS X Server. So there's the proof.
just received the osx server instead of the mountain lion. 😕
This will be my last post replying to you. Now please tell me what is the probability of 7 people who purposely scroll down on the website, clicked on the wrong link of os x server, got an os x server code and report to this forum and claimed that they clicked on the correct link, all reported within a span of 30 minutes? I believe there are more who has yet to report here.
