Just gone through the process to get a redemption code for Mountain Lion. Successfully received the PDF that contained the code, tried to redeem it in the Mac App store and got an error saying:
"This code has already been used. Each code may only be used once."
Oh dear. Are they sending out duplicates? What should I do now?

I had the same problem with the content code. I m from INDIA. So according to u we will get the code in 24 to 48 hours ???
Bravo Apple to treat costumers who just bought a mac and trust to have the M.Lion as soon as released 😟
I requested for the code but didn't get it. called apple ad they said it might take upto 72 hours to get the code. How did you guys got the code so fast?

Brian is the customer services representative from Apple UK who e-mailed me, my post was a copy of that e-mail so I can't give you exct timimgs as I'm in the same boat as you. Looking at all of the posts on this forum plus the e-mail I had from Apple, it looks like it will take up to 3 days to roll out new redeem codes. If you have already contacted i-Tunes support I would guess they would have you on their list. I would also expect that they would know exactly who they sent the faulty codes to anyway.
I think we will just have to be patient until Apple sort out this "omni-shambles" as we say in the UK.

Didn't even get a valid code apparently. Emailed Apple. Really kind of ticked that they do this. I bet if I shelled out $20 at the app store it would work like a charm.
Apple better make up for this.
A $5 App Store redeem code (that worked), would be nice.

looking at all the posts and the e-mail I've had from Apple UK customer services, they are obviously aware of the problem and are working on a fix. Apple will know who has either bought an upgrade or had a free upgrade because they bought a Mac on or after June 11th. I would reckon that everyone world wide should have a new redeem code e-mailed to them within the next 24 to 72 hours. If not Apple will get slaughtered on Twitter and all of the Mac forums.
I wonder if Microsoft are looking at this screw up as how not to release Windows 8.
