Hi!!
Could anybody who has installed Mountain Lion tell me how long it took before it has downloaded?
Mine seems to be stuck.... 5 min it shows no progress on the icon....

Hmmm... It seems it's moving... will take a while, must be internet connection....
MacBook Pro with Retina display
im stuck at 2gb because my router restarted and now i am waiting for the download to start again
Doing two machines here. First is an iMac (i5 processors) via airport / wifi to the router. This started approximately 600 AM PDT. It is approximately 3/4 finished. Second is MacBookPro that is hardwired connected to same router via ethernet. That machine just started and is reporting 30 minute download time. So much for wireless......
dear everybody we arre all retards! the hotspot shield works becasue most of the ip adresses they give to are from the south westren corner of the us near the apple servers and most of us with problems are from uk or canada primarily any where other than the us i am still being told 9 hours although i already have 2gb done but it is better than being stuck!!!

Well, BT at home works fine. More relaxed atmosphere, maybe?
Well, I am all done now. Installed and Updated, Very happy, and the install was smooth as butter.
I'm on BT business infinity and have been trying all day, but kept stopping at 53.25 and saying "calculating"
Fired up my VyperVPN from Giganews and now downloading fine.

Hotspotshield seems to be working - got me past the 53.25mb hang-up. But, why does tis work??
in terminal execute:
sudo du -h -d 3 /private/var/folders/gv/{GUID}/com.apple.appstore/{randomID}/
this will give you the actual size of the file downloaded, found via lsof
Sonnofabitch, it did for me too! I was stuck at the exact same point and now it is downloading. Only 6 hrs to go! 😟
BTW, I am in Australia with cable connection that can get 15+ MB/sec downloads normally.
After 10 minutes, I Paused the download and uninstalled Hotspotshield, then hit Resume. It is now flying 🙂 ETA 1 hr. Go figure!
Maybe I'll try that....got to 4.18GB - then an error notice and restarted from beginning again!! I was at 8 min to go, now 9 hrs!
It worked! After Pausing, I uninstalled Hotspotshield, then hit Resume and it went back to full speed. It is into the install process. Fingers and toes crossed!
I'm in the Uk and it seems to be hanging at 53.25mb.
Can anybody tell me how to stop it and restart please?
