Mountain Lion Up-to-Date Code: How Long?

Does anybody know how long it takes to receive the email with the redemption code for Mountain Lion after registering on the up-to-date page?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

72 hrs. That is what Apple told me over the phone. If you want it sooner, go buy it.

9 days for me, zero response from Apple.

I wouldn't sell my stock. But this is kinda really bad on Apple's part, and unusual.

My serial numbers were for retina macbook pros, which by definition are eligeblie for the upgrade, so all it should have taken was an automated check of the serial number database...

Also, very odd that some people got their codes right away, some after a few days, but here I am- I ordered online from the Apple store US, and 9 days later, no response (and I checked my spam filters, so its not getting filtered, plus I get email from apple all the time.)

Weird.

I gave up and just bought it. If I ever get my code, I'm going to contact Apple and see if I can get my money back on my purchase. If I can't, well that's just the way it goes I guess. I'm the same as you. Nine days without hearing anything. I'm pretty sure that my "paperwork" got lost somewhere. I tried filing on my serial number again, but it said it was already claimed.

After waiting five days got the code and clicked on the .pdf link and Mountain Lion just downloaded, and then charged me $20.99 for the pleasure. I had a credit card on file with Apple which is why the charged download worked.

Contacted Apple Support and a very nice lass Michelle arranged a credit reversal, which was verified this morning 4th August. All in all took ten days to finalise what should have taken ten minutes.

One plus side the redemption code when activated and redeemed will download a system for the model you purchased in June/July. Having received the pay for download will work with other computers if ever I have the need.

So if you have a credit card linked to your App Store account dice it.

And the worst part is the customer service for the Up-to-date Program, if there's one.... so now I have a new Mac with Lion and the upgrade they promised, hmmm....

Got mine, finally.

In case it helps others, my e-mail server was filtering out one of the e-mails from the up-to-date program. It was impossible to detect that the message had been sent (not im my junk mail folder). I had to request them to send to another address. The messages came through successfully with the new address.

I wrote to uptodatesupport@apple.com. Provide all the info on the case you have. I did need to wait about one day for each corresponence with these people so the process was difficult.

Also, the update is available free for all your other Macs.

Finally!!! got my codes. One week and One weekend. Turns out there was some garbage in my email address so the codes were going to the wrong address. Called several times and eventually got through to a techie who found the problem pretty quick. Had to explain the situation a few time to him but we got there. Would have been far quicker though if apple would respond to emails I sent. This whole event is a not very Apple. I also noticed their store where I bought it was understaffed by Apple standards (is this the start of the slide?) but the staff there were as nice and courteous but as helpful as tits on a bull (no communication and website they said - and they can't make phonecalls on customers behalf).

Now to see how well this works weith my apps.

He's absolutely right resend it. That's what I did. I got the code from the second submission. Then igot the rejection for the first because of a duplicate submission. If you resend it you should get it very quickly. Also, make sure your picture of the receipt fits the size they require. If you need any help just post a comment and we will be glad to help.
