I have emailed Apple and waited a few hours, am wondering whether I filled out the form wrong and wasted my chance? Wondering how long anyone else had to wait?

Took 48hrs then got mine.

guys i understand that everyone will be getting their codes soon or they have . so can you please stop posting that you guys got it .. i have over 100 unread posts emails . LOL
I filled the from the 25th and on the 27th I got the email with the number. So just be patient, it can take two or three days

actually you got the code for your app store account, and that allows up to five installs 🙂
Hang in there! I know how you feel, I've been waiting now for 86 hours and can't even call the Care Center as they don"t provide English support Saturdays and Sundays.
i've found a new problem now that i've cracked how to download and the code has finalle arrived when I enter the code it says that it doesn't acccept it -_- arghh!

I believe you actually can't resubmit. It would immediately void as the serial number number can only be used once. How long until you got the rejection?
