Where did my Google search bar go? I just updated safari.

I miss not being able to see my previous searches -- this s-ucks

I don't like this new version, sorry.

One of the few updates I actually like. I'm really into this one, When a pop up is opened it doesn't just open a new page, it creats a new tap, so much easier to know what's open. As far as the google search history it's in your History drop down. So far works GREAT!

I have the same issue, and I do not like it at all. Also, the add a TAB is now all the way over to the right instead of right next to the open tab. Can this be changed back?

There is one con that I have with this new way they have done it. With google search on the right I could type in stuff that was one the page I was looking at because sometimes things cannot be copied and pasted. Now when I go to type something the search bar, which is the whole lenght of the page now drops down in front of what I am trying to type and I can't see it.

Having the options always is a good answer to meeting everyones needs.

Apple bring back Google Search in Safari. We hate Safari 6.0. This is terrible . How can we get out prievous version Safari.

Switching to Firefox. I'm getting sick of mac taking everyhing away. From google serach to access to it's laptops. No audio in !!!. Think I may have to go PC soon. Hate Safari 6.0

I wasn't happy with the change either because I thought there was an extra step created of going up to address bar and deleting current address, then typing in the new search. Just realized all you have to do is click on current address, it highlights, then start typing and current address disapears. Hope your day is good everyone.

Clicked on Safari Help; typed in Google; got explanation of how the new system works. BUT along with several others, I would like the option of using the Google box on the right with the URL box in the center. Putting the snap-back button over in history is a totally bad idea.

The ONE thing I hate of this browser is that when I try to access servers on my intranet, I now HAVE to type 'http://' in front of the URLs. Otherwise Safari will think it's a Google search and input it into Google's search engine.

I am wondering how much information on the layout of internal networks of all these different companies Google is receiving right now. At least they now already know how our Perforce server, our Intranet server, and how our Docs server is called.

Besides, it makes me have to take more actions than less, and even have to switch between keyboard and mouse sometimes.

Really, how many people were complaining about the previous way it works? Less than the people who never complained? If so, then why change this whole functionality irreversably? Now Apple ****** off the majority of the people in favor of some minority of complainers. The previous way of working can have never been a showstopper for the people who couldn't handle it.

I don't understand the reasoning behind the choice at all.

If only a minority was complaining, then at the least make it switchable in the settings...

Enough ranting. But the implications for network security ARE real...

e.g.

perforce/browse/issue-2100

Safari will open Google with 'perforce/browse/issue-2100' and immediately execute a search. I am sure this is logged by Google, which means they can use their data mining tools to do something with it.
