Mid-2010 MBP color rendering issue

On my mid-2010 MBP (nVidia GT 330M), when switching to the discrete card the color rendered becomes "cooler" (more bluish, greenish) than the one rendered by the integrated Intel card. This does not happen everything but 8 of 10 times it will happen, and when it does happen it is very noticable as if I look at the screen through a light blue transparent film. I suspect it is a driver issue.

Anyone with the same symptom?

I have a mid 2010 15 MBP and I just encountered this problem.

It happened after I did an upgrade to the Sandisk Extreme 240gb SSD and a fresh installation of Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

I have managed to mitigate the issue by reseting the PRAM, link:

I will continue to monitor the situation.

The MBP is out of warranty and I can't afford any repairs.

Hello there

I have a late 2012 MBP bought in June, running 10.8.5, and have experienced this issue from the first weeks of use.

Everything told here is still true...

Mostly posting to bump and raise awareness to Apple Devs.

Apple support claims not knowing about this issue.

Buying a quite expensive "plug & play" graphic machine, with "pro" somewhere in its name, and be prevented to use it as a graphic tool by some issue known at least for 1 and a half year...

... is it going too far to name it... SCANDALOUS?...

I suppose it matters to Apple that my next computer is still a mac.

Sorry I'm a bit angry

Thanx Apple... mm... no, thank you users, for doing Apple's job.

(less angry, though)

Thanxx n

Simply run Onyx and have your ColorSync cache cleared.

Is it a temporary solution, or deleting it (and user prefs -???) and reboot, as Marc Marshall, is the definitive one?

Then i'll wait for my competence level to increase before doing that (not to mention that english not being my native language, makes this slightly harder...:)
