Just taked to WebEx support. Was told that the current platform does not fully support Mountain Lion. They are working on an upgrade, he didn't know how long until it's pushed out. He gave me a possible fix that seems to be working. I use firefox. He had me go to PREFERENCES -- Then the ADVANCED tab -- then how firefox connectes to the internet SETTINGS -- He said to switch it to NO PROXY settings. He said that would hopefully do the trick. Before I did that, my webex meeting was crashing all the time (since I installed Mountain Lion) since then, it hasn't crashed yet (knock on wood). I believe the same fix will work for other browsers as well. That said, I'm not too tech sophisticated, just wanted to pass on something that seems to work for me.

I've been able to use WebEx OK on Mountain Lion. FWIW. Make sure you have a recent (64 bit) version.
You could try deleting ~/Library/Application Support/WebEx folder which will clean out the (myriad) old versions that WebEx keeps around, and then reinstalling.
I have tried removing WebEx64.plugin. Also tried removing all cache, deinstall app and all the tips here - http://blogs.webex.com/webex_interactions/2011/09/webex-and-mac-os-x-107-lion-wh at-you-need-to-know.html
Has not helped.
I'm having the same issue. Using Chrome, when trying to launch it I get the message "WebEx64 General Plugin Container has crashed." I've tried reinstalling but it doesn't help. As a workaround, I am having to launch webex from inside a Windows VM. I noticed this immediately after upgrading to Mountain Lion.
You can download from here - https://meetings.webex.com/collabs/#/support/downloads but it has not helped me.
I removed everything under the following 2 directories before resinstall. Did not help.
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Webx Folder
/Users/<username>/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/WebEx64.plugin
Hey if you are having trouble with webex... Check out Fuzebox.com. They have a direct partnership with Apple. Apple's Corporate office use them internally for conferencing . HD video conferencing from any device, works extremely well with Apple products!!
They are the only company that you can drive, host, and control a meeting from an iPad!
Check them out! They really are the Future of Video Conferencing!
Good call riteshraja.
DISABLE PROXIES and you should be good to go. That is under Apple System Preferences>Network>Proxies. This is how you do it for Safari.
I almost uninstalled Lion so that I could still do my meetings, but now all is good.
Same problem here -though nothing to do with Webex but hoping you can help anyway- just downloaded Mountain Lion and it knocks out my VPN every couple of seconds. Internet works fine if I disconnect the VPN but I need the VPN. Any suggestions? Tried the Preferences>Network>Proxies but could not find an option for 'No Proxies' HELP!! Lost without my VPN!!
For those that are having problems with VPN (like myself), I found a reasonable workaround. Turn off VPN, then start webex. After webex is running, turn your VPN back on. It seems the crashing happens as part of the webex startup. after that, webex works fine in VPN.
John,
This looks like a pitch for a product. Are you connected with FuzeBox? It looks like it. If so, please identify your relationship with the company before you post. It would be great to keep such forums to solve user issues rather than make it a pitch for a particular product.
Thanks!
Having the same problem, running Lion (10.7.4 - 64 bit) and trying to use Chrome to launch Webex. I deleted the Webex folder and WebEx plugins from both Library folders and this did not fix the problem.
I did further searching and found this problem looks to be more a Java issue.
Per this link : http://java.com/en/download/mac_download.jsp
Chrome does not support Java 7. Java 7 runs only on 64-bit browsers and Chrome is a 32-bit browser
Also looked at the Java System Requirements for Java 7. They show:
A 64-bit browser (Safari or Firefox, for example) is required to run Java 7 on Mac OS X. Java 7 does not support 32-bit browsers such as Chrome on the Mac platform.

Hope this info helps.
Was having problem "attending a meeting" for WebEx and logging in to "Skype" using a mountain lion mac-mini. Initially, only the webex worked by having no proxy settings defined. It turned out that we have to define all four parameters that uses proxy settings for sock5 to work for skype. Now its working after explicitly defining all the HTTP, HTTPS, FTP and SOCKS settings. It does not work if one of the four is missing.
Related information to the following error:
Error: 'Could not load WebEx64 General Plug-in Container.'
I run OS X Mavericks. Safari was not functioning. It seemed like there's some kind of memory leak, so I unstalled WebEx (not Java 7 Update 45) with the software at https://support.webex.com/MyAccountWeb/supportUtilities.do?root=Tools&parent=Sup port. Note that Java Scipt must be enabled to view that website.
The file I used was Cisco_WebEx_Removal_Tool.dmg [ https://support.webex.com/US/includes/documents/supportutilities/Cisco_WebEx_Rem oval_Tool.dmg ]. The tool uninstalled without any confirmation dialogue. I opened Safari > Preferences > Security > Allow Plug-Ins ON > Manage Website Settings, which showed that WebEx was no longer installed.
Good luck.
I have the same problem. Although I notice I only see the crashing when I'm using my company's VPN and am going thru an HTTP proxy. Otherwise, outside of the VPN, it works fine.
